Litigation support
We have many years experience of offering support to solicitors and barristers on the financial and accounting aspects of all types of litigation. Each case is approached on the basis that it may reach court and we may have to appear as an expert witness. We are fully acquainted with court procedures and well understand the nuances of relationships between solicitor, client and counsel.
Our principal areas of experience are commercial disputes, professional negligence, divorce settlements and personal injury claims. In recent years we have appeared as expert witnesses on aspects of litigation including private company share valuation, business viability, loss of earnings and insolvency.
We recognise that, as experts, our contribution must add value to the pursuit or defence of a claim. In many cases a full report suitable for disclosure is not required. A client may only require a limited review providing a realistic assessment of the financial merits of a matter that will be of assistance in achieving a satisfactory settlement or negotiation.
Our people have given evidence in the High Court and County Courts. We are justifiably proud of our record and the praise we have received form solicitors, barristers, judges and parties to litigation, and are happy to provide references to new instructing solicitors.
